2 Install the Obsidian plugin

Choose one method below.

Option A: Using BRAT (recommended)

  1. In Obsidian, open Settings → Community plugins and enable Community plugins.
  2. Click browse and search for "BRAT" or click here.
  3. Press "Install" to install BRAT, then press "Enable" to enable it.
  4. Click here and press "Add Plugin" to install Starlight PDF.
  5. Restart Obsidian

Option B: Manual install

  1. Download the latest release's main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css files from GitHub Releases.
  2. Move the files into your vault's .obsidian/plugins/starlight-pdf folder (create it if needed).
  3. Restart Obsidian and enable the plugin in Settings → Community plugins.
